Banquet Bus Fee
OSA Laser Congress Banquet at Atsuta Shrine, Aichi Prefecture, Japan
Attend the Annual Laser Congress Banquet for good food, and good drink in traditional Japanese atmosphere of a communal feast at the Atsuta Shrine on Wednesday, 4 October from 18:30 (6:30 p.m.) to 20:30 (8:30 p.m.).

There is a mandatory $10.00 USD ticket fee to attend the banquet. You must pay the fee at the time you register for the Congress. Space is limited. Tickets will only be sold onsite if seating is available. 

The Atsuta Shrine stands in a pleasant, wooded park in southern Nagoya.  The Shrine is one of Shinto's most important shrines. It enshrines the Sun Goddess Amaterasu and stores the sacred sword Kusanagi, which is one of the three imperial regalia. (Note, that the sword is never displayed to the public.)  Atsuta Shrine is a Shinto shrine traditionally believed to have been established during the reign of Emperor Keikō located in Atsuta-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture in Japan. The shrine is familiarly known as Atsuta-Sama or simply as Miya.

By Meitetsu Railways
Take the Meitetsu Nagoya Line from Nagoya Station to Jingumae Station (5 minutes, 230 yen), from where the shrine can be reached in a three minute walk.
By subway
Jingunishi Station on the Subway Meijo Line is a five minute walk from the shrine.
By Japan Railways (JR)
Take the JR Tokaido Line from Nagoya Station to Atsuta Station (6 minutes, 190 yen), from where it is a ten minute walk to the shrine.

Technical Registrant
Registration includes admission to the Technical Sessions, Lunches, Coffee Breaks, Welcome Networking, Congress Banquet and access to paper summaries via OSA Publishing’s Digital Library.
 

Committee Members/Presenting Authors
Committee Members and Presenting Authors of the meeting are able to register at a discounted rate.  Registrants in this category must have contributed to the meeting by participating on a committee or by presenting a paper.  Registration includes admission to the Technical Sessions, Lunches, Coffee Breaks, Welcome Networking, Congress Banquet and access to paper summaries via OSA Publishing’s Digital Library.
 

Student Registration
Full-time students (graduate and undergraduate) are entitled to the same privileges as Technical Registrants. Students are required to present valid student identification when they pick up their registration materials. Post-docs are not considered students.  Registration includes admission to the Technical Sessions, Lunches, Coffee Breaks, Welcome Networking, Congress Banquet and access to paper summaries via OSA Publishing’s Digital Library.

 

Emeritus Registration
Emeritus members may register at a discounted rate. To qualify for Emeritus status, members must be fully retired and must have been an OSA member for at least 10 years. The member's age plus the number of years of membership in OSA must equal 75 years or more. Registration includes admission to the Technical Sessions, Lunches, Coffee Breaks, Welcome Networking, Congress Banquet and access to paper summaries via OSA Publishing’s Digital Library.

 

Exhibition Visitor 
Registrants in this category can access the Exhibition, select special events and the Plenary Session.  This registration does not include access to the Technical Sessions or Conference Reception.
 

Important Information

Advance Registration Deadline
Payment MUST be received with your registration form or with your online registration; NO registration will be processed without payment.  All payments must be in US dollars and drawn on a US bank.  Registrations received after 23:59 EST (04.59 GMT), on Tuesday, 05 September 2017, will be charged the on-site rate.
 

OSA Members
OSA members are eligible for a discounted rate on registration. If you are not an OSA member, you can join now and receive the member rate for the OSA Laser Congress 2017 registration. Becoming a member of OSA actually costs less than paying the non-member registration rate, plus you get all the advantages of OSA membership!
 

Policies and Terms of Registration
Reasonable policies and terms of registration and code of conduct have been established for OSA Laser Congress 2017.  We encourage you to read these carefully as all registrants will be required to agree to these policies and terms as a condition of registration. 
 

Refund and Cancellation Policy
A US $75 service charge will be assessed for processing refunds. Requests for refunds will be honored if submitted via the conference online registration site or directly to OSA Customer Service by Thursday,14 September 2017.
